I still remember the day so clearly, it was a warm summer’s day, blue skies, sunshine and we were about to board a boat for a day out on a crystal-clear lake when my partner gets a call. It was about a new job, in Africa, a continent where I never sat my foot before. As I’m always up for an adventure I was in - and a couple of months later we said our goodbyes and were off to Johannesburg.
South Africa amazed me, so busy, dusty, the constant sunshine and friendly people all around. It didn’t take too long though before I started to feel lost, in this new place, not really knowing anyone and my job that always had been quite a big part of my life now was just not a fit anymore. What was I going to do? It turned out it was time to reinvent what I do, and so my coaching journey began.
Now 10 years later, three kids, a dog and a few more country moves I could not be happier about that switch I made from being a chemical engineer to a coach. That was my starting point for actively creating a life and career I truly love, and as I believe that is possible for all women I created TAC She, which is here to help women rise.
